เป็นคำที่สังเกตุง่ายๆ
เพราะมักจะมีเครื่องหมาย อัศจ.เจรีย์ตามมา ! (Exclamation mark)
เช่น Oops! Ouch!
Tada! Bingo! Bravo! Yummy! Yuck! Ick! เป็นต้น
นอกจากจะใช้คำเหล่านี้ตรงๆแล้ว
เรามาดูวิธีทำ Exclamatory Sentences กันเถอะ
1. ใช้ Verb to do ช่วยเน้นกริยาของประโยค
ex. She does eat a lot every day.
(=หล่อนกินเยอะทุกวัน ใช้ does เน้นเพื่อบอกว่า เธอกินเยอะจริงๆนะ)
We do pay very heavy taxes.
(=พวกเราจ่ายภาษีเยอะมาก ใช้ do เน้นเพื่อบอกว่า เราจ่ายเยอะมากจริงๆ)
2. ใช้รูปคำถามปฏิเสธขึ้นต้นประโยค
ex. It was a pleasure
to meet her. = Wasn’t it a pleasure to meet her!
(=มันเป็นเรื่องน่ายินดีที่ได้พบเธอ)
3. ใช้ what กับ noun
3.1 what + a/an +
adj. + นามเอกพจน์ + ประธาน + กริยา!
ex. What an ugly girl
Mary is!
What a kind-hearted man he is!
3.2 what + adj. + นามนับไม่ได้/นามนับได้พหูพจน์
+ ประธาน + กริยา!
ex. What good luck you have!
What good books you bought!
4. ใช้ how กับ adj./adv.
how + adj./adv. + ประธาน + กริยา!
ex. How clever the
students are!
How dirty the house is!
How beautiful I am!
